I love stamps, I collect them and like to have lots of different ones available.
Why, I hear you asking?
Well, if I may be so bold, I am excellent at ‘toddler/s extraction from my home’ technique. 😂
Over the 11 years I have been a mum, I have seen pretty much every type of tantrum you can get.
Singleton tantrum, twin tantrums, preschooler and toddler sibling tantrum, the scenarios are endless. 😫. I’m yet to experience triplet tantrum, I’m working on it. Ha!
So, what I do is give the ‘about to erupt little person who is leaving’, some warning and show them my stamps.
I tell them ‘when you are in your car seat, I will give you a stamp on your hand’.
Most often than not, the little person holds my hand and climbs into their seat waiting for their stamp or 2 on their hands.
This helps in 2 ways…
A: it helps the mum who is leaving avoid a big tantrum.
B: it helps me get them out, hahaha 😂😂
Why does this work? It’s a simple case of distraction and reward for doing what’s asked, mixed in with some warning.
It’s also a novelty from my home, it’s a memory thing too, that when they leave Mandy’s they get a stamp. I love it that they love it. 💗💜💙💚💛❤️
So, I want you to try this and let me know how it goes, or if your toddler has been ‘extracted’ from my home, did it help you? Or not, I’d like to know.
PS, I did go through a handing out small bottles of bubbles but that I am sure wasn’t as good, moving car and bubble mixture everywhere 😝 sorry.
